PERBANDINGAN KINERJA RUAS JALAN AKIBAT ZONA SELAMAT SEKOLAH (ZoSS) DI KOTA DENPASAR
Abstract
Denpasar City is the center of economic, education, health, and government activities in Bali Province. Denpasar City has the highest population compared to other regencies. The increase in population causes the demand for educational infrastructure also increasing. Fulfillment of educational infrastructure will certainly burden the road network, such as the School Safety Zone (SSZ) facility whose function is to maintain student safety when going to and from school. The objective of this study is to analyze the performance of roads before SSZ and in the SSZ area. The traffic volume survey at 3 elementary schools in Denpasar was conducted at peak hours in the morning and afternoon. The analysis of the performance of road sections using the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results showed that the degree of saturation before SSZ in SDN 5 Pedungan is 0.83 while at the SSZ area is 0.85, the degree of saturation before SSZ in Harapan School is 0.72 while at the SSZ area is 0.81, and the degree of saturation before SSZ in SDN 3 Peguyangan is 0.68 while at SSZ area is 0.71.References
